As institutional leaders deal with tighter budgets while seek greater philanthropic support, one wonders if planned giving officers and estate planning services will be given an opportunity to step to the plate. This fast paced educational session will share key factors for successfully building a complete philanthropy program while utilizing a planned giving platform.
Speaker: Ken Turpen, is Vice President at Thompson & Associates. With over 30 years of experience and a successful track record of fundraising Ken has expertise in all areas of fundraising including estate planning, planned giving, capital campaigns, major gifts and annual giving. Ken was named as a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP) by the Charitable Estate Planning Institute in 2016, and a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) by CFRE International in 1996 and still maintains both distinctions. An active member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Ken is a board member of the Milton Murray Fund for Philanthropy, a former member of Rotary International, deacon in his church, and is an active volunteer in his community. His interests include golf, reading, Mexican food, and travel.
